"Eye of the Beloved"

Hand painted enamel 'eye' pendant set in 18k yellow gold on a hand-made 18k yellow gold vine chain.  Enamel painted onto copper.  Vine hook clasp.

Created in our studio, this enamel captures the emotion of the 18th century when one would have a an 'eye'  created to represent the person they didn't want to reveal fully to the world at large.  Painstakingly made during a process that took eleven firings in the kiln.  Each colored grain of glass is meticulously layered and melted into the piece at each step.
